Investigation Report

The investigation began at approx 2130 on Saturday 22nd May 2010 at the Fire & Police Museum, Sheffield, South Yorkshire.

PLEASE NOTE - Some names have been omitted from the medium walk section at present to respect any family's that are still alive.

We started with the traditional medium walk with the 13 Paranormal Spiritualist Medium, Adrian Fuller. The 1st area we visited was the fire house, this area is where all the fire engines would have been stored when the building had been in full use. A large selection of fire engines are on display in this area. As we walked around Adrian had picked up on 2 male spirits connected to a particular fire engine, both would return just by visitation. One of the male spirits Adrian had picked up on said that he was wearing a black leather suit with yellow and red stripes on, he also mentioned that he was a Captain. We moved on and all of a sudden Adrian told us to stop as he was picking up on a male fire-fighter telling us to stay back, Adrian continued to tell us that this fire-fighter was reliving an experience where he was involved in a fire and that this was the fire engine he was working on at the time. We moved on to the 1st floor, this area was filled with exhibits, during our time there Adrian had felt as if someone had stroked the back of his head, he later told us that a female spirit had done this and that this female spirit was telling us "don't be afraid". Adrian also picked up on a male spirit called Constable Bridges who would roam that floor. We moved on to the top floor where Adrian straight away picked up on a negative male presence going by the name of Glen, 5 minutes or so later the team started to complain of pains on their feet, arms, legs and neck. Adrian said that this spirit was wielding a knife and was trying to stab the team individually, he continued to tell us that this spirit was once jailed and that for some reason he was attached to me as I looked like a police man called Procter, this Procter character when alive had sent Glen down to prison when he was alive, hence why he was attached to me.
We then moved back downstairs to the police area which included cells, there a male spirit with the nickname the 'Sheffield Strangler' was present and was trying to make himself known, during this time we heard a large bang which caught our attention, this noise seemed to emanate from the police interview room, we investigated and found no natural trace.

It was then time for the 13 Paranormal team to commence vigils.

The team conducting the vigils were, Dean Grant, Scott Grant, Shona Crampton, Debbie Wilkinson, Leah Sheridan and Adrian Fuller.
We started with the 1st vigil which took place on the top floor where this negative male spirit 'Glen' was present, when we reached the top floor the team started to get pains again, we started to hear strange banging's from the other end of the corridor from, where we were stood, Adrian informed us that this male spirit was in that area and wanted to split the team up to harm us individually, so we decided to go down individually to that area to see if this spirit would do anything to us. Myself, Debbie, Leah, Adrian and Shona tried this and apart from when Leah and Shona went to this area where the door seemed to try to close shut nothing happened. We then all moved down to this area of the corridor, Adrian informed us that Glen wanted to still split us up. Debbie felt as if someone was stood behind her and Adrian told us that it was Glen, so I decided to stand behind Debbie and this spirit then moved, we then heard a large bang emanating from the corridor, this caught our attention. On reviewing the footage of this section this same noise was caught on camera but further to this it does sound like as if someone is running up the corridor behind us, although at the time we heard only 1 bang the camera had picked up numerous. Adrian informed us that this Glen spirit wanted me on my own, so I stayed in the area of that corridor and apart from feeling as if someone was staring right at me, a few cold draughts and what felt like a poke in the stomach I felt nothing threatening.

We then went to our 2nd vigil which was held in the fire house, Scott and Shona sat in a 1960's fire engine, Leah and Debbie sat in a 1930's fire engine and myself and Adrian wandered the whole of the fire house. Scott and Shona during their vigil caught nothing on camera and both had felt fine, Debbie and Leah again caught nothing out of the ordinary on camera but they both did hear a few bangs which sounded as if someone was knocking on the roof of the fire truck. During mine and Adrian's vigil, Adrian did feel a presence of a male spirit, we later had found out that it was this male spirit Glen. I did experience some corner of the eye phenomenon, I felt as if a black shadow was moving around the staircase area. I also then got what felt like a stabbing sensation on my left leg which was very painful at the time, Adrian told me it was Glen and that he was trying to hurt me so that I would leave, this didn't deter me and I continued with the investigation.

We moved onto the 3rd vigil which we held in the police station area which included the prison cells. We started with the 1st cell which was to the far end of the corridor in the police station, we all sat down on the bench which was used as a bed in its time, Adrian informed us that he was picking up on a male spirit that had been imprisoned there back in 1862, this male spirit was telling Adrian that he was trapped there and was scared to 'cross-over', because he didn't know what to expect on the other side, so I was asked to cross this spirit over, unfortunately the details of this procedure will not be revealed by myself or any of the 13 Paranormal team as this is a very sensitive subject. After this we moved to the 3rd cell which was the cell where the 'Sheffield Strangler' had been picked up on earlier. During this time we were all in the cell Adrian was telling us information about this spirit, as he was telling us about this spirit Adrian said that what the spirit was telling him didn't feel right and that he felt as if this spirit was lying to him, we started to call out and got a few tapings and banging's which seemed to come from the corridor, we agreed to stay a little bit longer in the cell before we move on to the next area and what we weren't prepared for was the pandemonium that was about to come about, during a time of silence asking the spirits to do something Adrian's face seemed to change and all of a sudden he shouted "GET OUT!", at the top of his voice which sounded different, Leah and Shona screamed and both were grabbed by Debbie who helped them, Scott had disappeared from view only for us to find him shouting on the floor, he was shouting "get him off me, get him off me", I dropped to the floor to help him, but during this time I was shouting for everyone to calm down, Adrian by this time had snapped out of trance and was asking "what has just happened?", I decided we had to move out of the area, Scott was picked up off the floor and took out of the location, he had lost control of his legs and he said that he couldn't stand up or get his balance, we vacated the area and sat in the base room to recuperate, the team decided to call the nights investigation to an end as it had tested everyone physically and psychologically.

I spoke to the team individually after the investigation and analyzed the footage, I had felt fine in the cells apart from feeling a burning pain on my right ankle, but when the incident broke out I was tested to the max, after the investigation I noticed I had got a diamond shape burn mark on my ankle, was this paranormal, I am not 100% sure. Scott told me that when Adrian had said "GET OUT", that a black mass seemed to come from Adrian and push him to the floor, he said that it felt as if someone had hit him in the stomach flooring him and that it felt as if someone was continuously punching him, Scott had suffered from some strange scratches on his back and a psychological beating. Shona had told me that she felt as if something was trying to grab her and that she was trying to ask for help but couldn't get the words out, she also has told me that she felt that her face and voice was trying to change, it was only when Debbie grabbed her that she came out of whatever was affecting her. Leah and Debbie had experienced nothing out of the ordinary in the cell but was scared of the situation that was unfolding. Adrian had told us that he let his guard down for a split second and that this negative male spirit Glen had took him over just to get the words "GET OUT" out.

The 13 Paranormal team had been pushed to the brink on this investigation, this has not deterred any of us, if anything it has made us stronger, we are all looking forward to our next investigation and we have even discussed a future return to the Fire & Police Museum so we can tackle what seems to be our current nemesis.

The investigation finished early at 0235 on Sunday 23rd May 2010.
We did carry out an experiment at this location which involved a Scrabble board, we placed this board and a camera in one of the rooms on the top floor where it is very active, we locked this in the room so no one could access this area. We wrote with the tiles 'What's your name', the rest of the tiles were laided out in a mix, we asked for the spirit to move the tiles to give us its name. Unfortunately looking back at the footage none of the tiles moved, however we heard what sounds to be a male spirit voice saying "hello?", and what sounds to be a lot of knockings and banging's coming from within the room, we also heard what sounds to be a small squeaking sound, and the only noise that comes close to this squeaking sound is the door knob moving, this area was locked off and the time on the camera doesn't match the times of where the team was.
So what was making all these noises, we may never know but we will be analyzing this footage very closely.

In all, the investigation was a success, certain areas were more active than others but this is expected in all locations that are investigated.
