Investigation Report
The investigation began at approx 2200 on Saturday 28th November 2010 at Peterborough Museum.
The investigation started with the medium walk with our Spiritualist Medium Adrian Fuller.
Please note some names have been omitted from this report in case of any living relatives that may still be alive.
The first stop was the old operating theatre, in this room people have reported poltergeist activity and strange pictures have been taken near the table in the middle of the room with body shapes shown.
In here Adrian picked up on a solider that was very agitated that some of his belongings were at the museum that he wanted given back to his family, later on in this walk we did find these items, the main things that Adrian had picked up on was that items would be moved a lot in the room, but other than that nothing much else.
We moved onto the next area which was an oval shaped room, in there Adrian had sensed 2 spirits, one was an architect for the building and the 2nd being an owner, the names have been omitted from the report to allow us to research further before we list their names.
We then moved onto an area which was full of exhibits and in here Adrian heard a woman's cry and he sensed it was belonging to a lady who had died in there when the museum was an infirmary and the name picked up on was Margaret, soon after that another female spirit came forward and it was the spirit of a nurse and she seemed to have connections with this Margaret character, the nurse had tried to wake her up as it seemed Margaret must've been a patient there but she had passed away before the nurse could help her.
We then moved downstairs and what captured Adrains attention was the spirit of the male that was in the operating theatre earlier and it seemed that the spirit had guided Adrian to a wall of army medals, and 3 medals were picked out belonging to a Jim (James), which was later confirmed as being the spirit that wanted the medals returned to his family.
We then went downstairs to the cellar which dates back to 1538 and has held up 2 buildings in its lifetime, in here Adrian had picked up on a selection of spirits that seemed during their lifetime had been chained up down there and tortured or disciplined for thieving, so a form of corporal punishment. The conditions of these people described by Adrian were not pleasant but we were determined to try to communicate with them during the nights investigation.
With all this in mind it was time to start the vigils.
The group split into 3 teams due to the overall size of the location. The teams consisted of the following 13 Paranormal Team Members and Guests.
Team 1 - Dean Grant, Debbie Wilkinson and Stuart Bend.
Team 2 - Nicola Horton, Steve Virgo, Lisa Bryan.
Team 3 - Adrian Fuller, Shane Hart and Stephen Hart.
Please note for the remainder of this report, it will be about what Team 1 had experienced during the remainder of the nights investigation.
We started the 1st vigil in the cellar, previously detected by Adrian as being a place where thief's would have been punished. We called out for the spirits to do something for us but it was very quiet, however when we analyzed the footage we had caught what sounds to be like someone whistling, as I knew we were the only 3 down there I knew it wasn't us. My eyes kept catching what looked like a shadow at the end of the corridor so we went to investigate this but again nothing happened for us. This ended our first vigil.
The 2nd Vigil was held in the old operating theatre, before we sat down we started to here a selection of taps, and during this vigil when we started asking questions the taps were giving us answers, but again after 30 minutes all went quiet, apart from these taps nothing much happened, so this vigil then ended.
Our 3rd and final vigil was held on the staircase where people have seen a man staring at them from the top of the stairs. During this vigil apart from a few taps and knockings again not much happened, it was quite disappointing but like all locations we visit one night it can be very quiet and the next everything is kicking off.
During the time I have spent analyzing the footage after the investigation the camera seemed to pick up more than what we experienced on the night, during Nicola, Steve and Lisa's vigil in the operating theatre they had caught numerous light anomaly's and some of them are very impressive. Cold spots were also noted with the group, and although the room was quite drafty at times when the group said "its getting colder", numerous lights seemed to come towards their direction, so are the cold spots they had detected actually spirits making themselves known?
When Adrian, Stephen and Shane were down in the cellar they had caught what sounds like to me the sounds of a last breath being taken, none of that group responded to the noise and it doesn't sound like any of them taking a breath either so we can discount it as being one of the group, so what made that last breath was it again spirit trying to communicate with us.
Peterborough Museum is a very large and interesting location and we are very privileged to have investigated there, but activity was thin on the ground, however as mentioned before some nights it can be very quiet and others everything is kicking off, so the next night must've been a hectic one.
The investigation finished at 0350 on Sunday 29th November 2010.
In all, the investigation was a success, certain areas were more active than others but this is expected in all locations that are investigated.
Team Managers Note - Please note that all footage, audio clips and photos taken on all investigations are always thoroughly analysed for evidence and because of this it is an on-going process. Any evidence that we find will be displayed on the website once we are satisfied of its authenticity.
