The investigation started with the medium walk with our Spiritualist Medium Adrian Fuller.

Please note some names have been omitted from this report in case of any living relatives that may still be alive.

The first stop was on the ground floor, immediately Adrian started to pick up on a character called Arthur, who was a caretaker, he seemed obsessive about keeping things tidy and everything had to be in its place, then Adrian picked up on Arthur's wife Polly who said that he spends too much time at the manor house.

We moved onto the next area which was the 1^st floor, the 1^st room we went to was room 28. There Adrian picked up on a lady called Henrietta, he said that she seemed to wander throughout this floor but she was heartbroken and was very sad. Adrian also picked up that this lady was very religious and that she was holding a wooden cross, and even though she was heartbroken she always kept the faith.

We then moved to the 2^nd floor and we started with room 42, in here Adrian had picked up on a lot of negativity and frustration. Children were picked up in here and one in particular was a boy called David who was either 7 or 8 years old and he seemed to have a behavioural problem, and because of this he was punished and he was locked in his room because of this. We then moved onto room 45 in here Adrian picked up on a police officer with the surname Lloyd. Adrian had said that this spirit had been seen by many people walking past the manor house even to this day. We then went to room 21, in this room Adrian picked up on a lady called Mary-Ann, who he had said had died a slow death, symptoms sounded like TB.

We went outside of the manor house to the stable/barn, in here Adrian picked up on a nasty male character called Jim, his appearance was about 5ft 8, moustache with an appearance to Adolph Hitler. It seemed this spirit during his day would torture children between the ages of 8-12 years old, and no one knew that he did this to the children.

With all this in mind we decided to start the vigils.

The group split into 4 teams due to the overall size of the location. The teams consisted of the following 13 Paranormal Team Members and Guests.

Team 1 - Dean Grant and Debbie Wilkinson

Team 2 - Nicola Horton, Steve Virgo, Dawn Saunders, Cynthia Sewell and Wendy Sewell

Team 3 - Adrian Fuller and Kay Jarosz

Team 4 - Steph Watson, Susan Sharpe, Jason Bond, Anita Rayner and Vicki Elias

The CCTV was recording throughout the night and during breaks all the attendees watched the monitor.

We started the 1^st vigil in the stable/barn, in here me and Debbie felt a little uncomfortable, and during this vigil numerous noises were heard in response to our questions but the noises seemed to emanate from around this area so at times it was difficult to pin point where they were coming from. After a while the noises stopped and it went quiet, so we decided to carry the rest of this vigil in the grounds, here a male spirit believed to be a gardener roams this area and the ground floor of the manor house, the only problem you have when investigating outside you are open to outside noise such as birds, wind and shadows which are trees, but even with all this happening the grounds were again very quiet, this ended the first vigil.

The 2^nd Vigil was held on the 2^nd floor and we started in the room where the policeman was picked up, we had put a cardboard box against the door as it wouldn't stay shut and we asked the spirit to knock or move the box over to open the door, the spirit didn't move the box but we did hear numerous noises outside the room, and at one stage it sounded like a child's laughter so we went to investigate. It seemed the noise emanated from the room where the boy child David was picked up, we had found a teddy bear at the location so we used this as a trigger object to see if the child would play with the bear, we spent a considerable time in this area and it seemed pretty quiet so we ended this vigil.

During the break between the 2^nd and 3^rd vigils all teams were on break in the Control Room where the CCTV monitor was stationed and one of the cameras was picking up numerous noises and light anomalies that were astonishing to us, the light anomalies were moving in such a fashion that we knew some were not dust, in fact one that caught our attention was when the orb came through the door and towards the window, then moved towards the camera, it then seemed to hover in front of the camera for 5-10 seconds, then moved back towards the door and disappeared, because of this we all decided to do a mass vigil in this room, this room was room 28.

So it was now the 3^rd and final vigil and it was held in room 28 where we had all seen the fantastic noises and light anomalies. We were going to try 2 experiments in this room, the 1^st was using the Franks Box, this is a modified radio and this does a continuous scan and offers the spirit's a voice to talk to us, although we asked the spirits to talk to us and give us answers to our questions there was nothing clear enough for us to use as evidence. So we then moved onto our 2^nd experiment which was glass devination, this is where a selection of attendees would place their finger lightly on the glass and we would ask the spirits to move the glass, we were half way through this experiment when Steph informed us that her chair was rocking as if someone was pushing the chair backwards and forwards, at this point our attention was then drawn to Adrian where he was in trance. We had noticed Adrian's legs were banging on the floor and Adrian had said that a lady was trying to come through him and that he thinks she had got Parkinson's decease where it would make the person shake. After 5 minutes a ladies voice seemed to come through Adrian saying "I don't understand it", after this it seemed this lady who was picked up on earlier who was heartbroken was speaking through Adrian, she was telling us that her daughter Mary-Ann was 42 and had died at the manor house and she was buried in Alford, but 5 witches that were residents of Alford had dug many bodies up in the 1600's including her daughter and they had moved all these bodies to un-holy grounds, and this is what was upsetting her and until her daughter is moved back to her original grave this lady wont rest in peace. The trance went on for around 35 minutes and what was being said was outstanding but as this takes a lot of energy off Adrian we all decided to end this vigil.

Alford Manor House is a very interesting location and afterwards Adrian had said that this location had pushed him to his limits and he encountered 2 new things that will help him in his medium ship.

We will be making a return visit to Alford Manor House in 2012 as we all felt this location still had some hidden gems.

The investigation finished at 0400 on Saturday 29^th January 2011.

In all, the investigation was a success, certain areas were more active than others but this is expected in all locations that are investigated.
