Investigation Report
The investigation began at approx 2100 on Friday 7thOctober at the Boston Guildhall.
The investigation started with the medium walk with our Spiritualist Medium Adrian Fuller.
Please note some names have been omitted from this report in case of any living relatives that may still be alive.
The first stop was in the Banqueting Hall, here Adrian picked up on a man wearing a red jacket and a type of tri-corner hat, he was looking a lot like a town crier. This man gave the impression of being an important type of person, Adrian picked up on him sitting down and then standing up saying "that concludes for this evening". Adrian also picked up on the names Polly and Andrew; they had a connection with a wedding, Polly being the bride. The date 1754 and the name Thomas who was associated with the man in the red jacket; he also picked up on him wearing leather chaps on his legs, most likely connected with horse riding. Also in this area a black Labrador dog was picked up on, Adrian got the image of a stout person with a beard smoking a long clay pipe.
As we moved away from the Banqueting Hall, Adrian stopped us as we reached the main staircase, here Adrian was drawn to a painting on the wall of a lady, he also picked up on the name Annie and got a sombre feeling with it. The name Albert who was connected to a discovery, possibly the name of a ship. Adrian picked up on a stout man who liked things to run on time, and would get angry if things didn't run to time, this was as if everything had to run to a timetable.
The next area we visited was the Courtroom, almost immediately Adrian got a stomach churning feeling, it was as if he wasn't looking forward to something. Adrian then picked up on someone saying "I might as well be dead", this was coming from a male who could have been trailed at the court.
We then moved to the Council Chamber, Adrian in here felt very overwhelmed as he said there was a lot of talking from numerous spirits. Adrian got the feeling of a speaker at the head of the table. The name picked up was Isaac; he was the man pacing around the room making tough decisions.
The next area we visited was the Buttery, Adrian picked up on a negative feeling, he was very angry, and he was a spirit that wanted to harm us and liked to make noises to scare. The image of dead bodies being dragged into the room, and connections with a possibly grave robber were very strong.
In the Kitchen, Adrian had the words "get out of my kitchen" shouted at him, this person who did this was a gentleman who gets very upset when people shouldn't be in his kitchen. This person liked to play mind games to get people out of his kitchen.
So with all this in mind it was time to start the vigils.
The group split into 2 teams due to the overall size of the location. The teams consisted of the following 13 Paranormal Team Members and Guests.
Team 1 - Dean Grant, Stephanie Watson, Helena Sanders and Steve George
Team 2 - Steve Virgo, Adrian Fuller, Sharon Walden and Paul Walden
Please note for the remainder of this report, it will be about what Team 1 had experienced during the remainder of the nights investigation.
We started the 1st vigil in the Banqueting Hall, as soon as we entered we felt very positive so we all sat around the room and began calling out, a few minutes in I heard a noise sounding like the table had been tapped as I heard 4 consecutive taps near me, although after 15 minutes asking for the spirits to do something else for us, nothing happened. So as Adrian had picked up on a wedding and the spirit of Polly I asked Helena to call out as a female spirit may want to talk to her, as soon as Helena began calling out, we heard a strange shuffling noise near the balcony area, so we went to investigate, we called out again for the spirit to do it but unfortunately it didn't. We decided to use a new piece of equipment at the Guildhall investigation and that was being that of a Sonic Ear, this enhances sound by 50 times, but one floor we had was that the location is near the main road and the main night life of Boston so all we heard was that, after a considerable amount of time it seemed the spirits didn't want to play, so we decided to go straight into the 2nd vigil.
The 2nd vigil was held in the Buttery, here this was the area where the negative presence was felt, Steph felt very down as soon as she walked in which is strange for her, but Steph did say that she kept getting the image of a lady in grey in the room and that she was upset but Steph wasn't sure why she was upset. Steph began calling out, at first it was a little slow but noises seemed to emanate around the room, at one stage we heard what sounded like someone climbing the metal ladder that was propped against the chimney breast, we tried to understand this as natural settling noise but when we tried to re-inact the noise we could only do it by climbing the ladder. Much like the Banqueting Hall it seemed very quiet, and unfortunately it was time for the 3rd and final vigil.
The 3rd and final vigil was with all the team together in the Banqueting Hall, here we conducted some Glass Divination, this is where a selection of attendees will place their finger on the glass and we ask the spirits to move the glass. As soon as we settled down we began calling out, the glass almost immediately started to move, we asked the spirits to communicate through the glass and we seemed to have contacted a male that was from the Guildhall but as quickly as the glass began to move it stopped and Adrian almost immediately mentioned that this spirit had moved away from the table, but there were other spirits waiting to communicate, the glass began moving again, but unfortunately it was family members coming through to certain team members, and because of the personal information they were relaying I will not disclose this in this report. After approx 25 minutes the family members seemed to move away and the male spirit that we were talking to earlier on the glass seemed to return, but as with all investigations the time wasn't on our side and we had to finish the investigation.
Although this investigation was very short to others we have done in the past, it was during the review of the footage gathered which wowed all the team, one in particular that intrigued us was when team 1 were moving to the Buttery area I had my camera rolling, and as we were walking through the Kitchen to gain access to the Buttery we have captured a strange EVP, the EVP sounds as if someone is saying "NO", after much research we can discount all team members from saying this, even after further analysis we still can't rationalize this, so this is paranormal. Another strange occurrence was in the Buttery on vigil 2, as I had the camera filming Steph as she was describing the lady in grey we captured another EVP, but we have had trouble trying to fathom out what its saying, all we can ascertain is that it sounds like a female, but what she is saying is still very unclear, hopefully with further analysis we can find out what she said to us.
The Boston Guildhall is a small building which holds many rooms which are used all the time or rarely, it was great for the team to experience a location which was one of the first ever buildings in Boston and possibly in Lincolnshire. It was a very interesting location and we are very pleased to have investigated there.
The investigation finished at 0115 on Saturday 8th October 2011.
In all, the investigation was a success, certain areas were more active than others but this is expected in all locations that are investigated.
Team Managers Note - Please note that all footage, audio clips and photos taken on all investigations are always thoroughly analysed for evidence and because of this it is an on-going process. Any evidence that we find will be displayed on the website once we are satisfied of its authenticity.
